Safeguarding and Responsible Engagement Policy

TD & Partners Global is committed to engaging responsibly with the people and communities connected to our work, and to keeping people safe — particularly those who may be vulnerable. This policy sets out how we approach safeguarding.

This policy applies to our partners, employees, contractors and others acting on our behalf, in all our operations and in work we deliver that involves engagement with communities or vulnerable individuals.

We engage with people and communities respectfully and honestly. We are clear about who we are and the purpose of our engagement, and we do not create false expectations. We respect local context and culture.

We take reasonable steps to ensure our work does not expose people to harm. Where our work involves vulnerable individuals, we apply appropriate checks, supervision and safeguards, proportionate to the activity.

Where a role involves contact with vulnerable groups, we assess suitability and conduct checks where appropriate and lawful. We provide guidance so people understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

Where we work with partners or suppliers whose activities involve vulnerable individuals, we expect them to have appropriate safeguarding practices, consistent with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Concerns about safeguarding must be raised promptly through our Speak Up and Whistleblowing Policy. We take safeguarding concerns seriously, investigate them, and take action to protect people where needed.

We review this policy and our practices regularly and seek to learn from experience. We do not claim safeguarding outcomes we have not achieved. The effective date and version are shown on the policy page.
